Biography
Shaykh Maulana Mohammad Bilal Ahsan has "Ijazah" (permission to guide people on the path of spiritual development) in the discipline of 'Tazkiyah' (Islamic Spirituality) by honorable Shaykh Maulana Hafiz Zulfiqar Ahmed Naqshbandi Mujaddidi (دامت برکاته).
Shaykh Bilal is a qualified Islamic Scholar and has completed A’alimiyyah Degree, studying all the major text of Traditional Islamic Sciences covering Quran, Hadeeth, Fiqh and Classical Arabic. He also holds bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Curtain University, Australia & MBA from LUMS, Pakistan. He is currently based in Dubai working as the Regional Director for a multinational company.

Teaching Philosophy
True scholarship is measured by the character it produces. Shaykh Bilal’s philosophy centers on the balance of rigorous knowledge and consistent action. Information without internal realization leads to rigidity, while spiritual zeal without knowledge leads to error.
His mentorship approach is compassionate yet disciplined, focusing on diagnosing spiritual ailments and providing practical, sustainable routines for improvement. He emphasizes that the journey to Ihsan is gradual, requiring patience, companionship, and sincere intent.
Journey of Scholarship
Spiritual Journey
Shaykh Bilal Ahsan embarked on the Spiritual Path in 2009 under the guidance of Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi Mujaddidi, and was granted formal authorisation to guide others in Taṣawwuf/Tazkiyah by Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad in 2015.
Close Proximity and Service
Shaykh Bilal was blessed to spend dedicated time in the personal khidmah of Shaykh Zulfiqar and his family from 2013 to date.
ʿĀlimiyyah Studies
Started the ʿĀlimiyyah course in 2012 and completed it in 2020 from Wifāq al-Madāris Pakistan, with in-depth study of core Islamic sciences including Qurʾān, Ḥadīth, Creed, Fiqh and Classical Arabic.
Teaching
Started formally teaching the Islamic sciences in 2018 and is actively involved in the management of eMahad and teaches there as well.
